I have also to direct your attention to the fact, that, whereas the Tramway Promoters are rendered pecuniarily liable for any damage they may cause to the Cable Companies (Clause 21) or to the Water, Gas or Electric Light Departments, (Clause 19, Section 8), no such clause has yet been inserted to protect the interests of this Company, and I venture to ask whether, in common fairness to us, and in the public interest, a clause may be inserted in the Bill, rendering the Tramway Company pecuniarily liable to us in the event of any interruption being caused to our system by their operations.
